Fumotoppara Campgrounds
One of the best place I've been in to in Japan. A serene camp ground located near the base of Mt Fuji, Fumotoppara is about a two-hour drive from central Tokyo. Here, you can enjoy the great outdoors with a stunning view of the beloved national icon, Mount Fuji. Fumotoppara Campground is still a much-needed respite from urban life where you can just sit back, do nothing, and bask in the presence of Mount Fuji.
At an elevation of 830m, the Fumotoppara Campground is a sizable campground situated on the Asagiri Plateau in Fujinomiya City. The area offers a stunning perspective of the nation's favorite mountain. The expansive grassland, which is divided into 16 parts and labeled alphabetically from A to L, can hold up to 1,500 tents, making it one of Japan's biggest campgrounds. Campers are allowed to pitch their tents anywhere they see suitable, provided they maintain a polite 10 m separation from other visitors.
Consider taking a day trip and spending the afternoon at Fumotoppara Campground as a less expensive substitute because the applicable costs are just half of those listed above. Make sure to leave the campsite before 5 o'clock, though. There are many different types of lodging available in the area besides tents. Although more pricey, it provides a little more comfort and seclusion. Additionally, they have mattresses and private restrooms. Prices are for parties of up to 5 persons. There is an additional charge for each guest. The check-in and check-out times are 3pm to 5pm and 11am.
Rentals and buying some things like wood, charcoal and more is also available around the area.

Our Final Take
Best camping experience ever! I recommend this place if you want to do camping in Japan. The trip going to the location itself is so beautiful. We are also lucky to have a very clear weather where we saw Mount Fuji all day until night time. So majestic. So relaxing. Gonna visit this place again.
